Today is National Doughnut Day.
In honor of this most awesome of days, there are sixty bajillion boxes of doughnuts in the kitchen in a variety of flavors from Count Donutula's. And a couple from Krispy Kreme, because I couldn't resist and they made them right in front of me. The Count's flavor of the week? Chorizo cheddar. Personally, I think it's delicious.
The Krispy Kreme guys were giving everybody a free doughnut. When I told them that I'd missed this day for the last thirty years and they should let me cash all that doughnutless time in, one said, "Ain't nobody got time for that," and then tried to boot me from the premises. Lucky for me, I'd already put in my order for six boxes, so he couldn't really get rid of me till they were done.
