Some generous benefactor had delivered to me a very large rhubarb pie. I say 'some generous benefactor' because said benefactor didn't see the need to include a card with his/her name on it so I'd know who to give the money to.

That said, I'm very disappointed in the lot of you. I offer you cold, hard cash to get me pie and wine and nobody does it. All I get's skepticism. It's like you don't believe I'd really give you the money. Which is just wrong - very wrong.

So I'm going to take my pie back into the city to share with my girlfriend. I'm sure she'll appreciate it. And maybe Douglas, since he enjoys the finer things in life.

I swear to God, though, Jubes, if you eat it all while I'm not looking, my vengeance will be swift and it will be impressive. If you're nice, though, I'll share a piece with you, too.

The upside-down crocheting is impressive. I do not know how she does that. It is bad enough to crochet, all the counting and yarn and the hook and then upside down, it makes me dizzy to just think about it.

I know, right? All the blood rushing into your head - I don't known that I'd be able to concentrate well enough after a few minutes to shoot at a target, let alone make a hat. Or whatever it is she makes.

Not really. I leave them these little pellets of food like you leave for gerbils and things when I've hied off somewhere. And they're sort of stuffed, so it's okay if they don't eat or drink a lot.
