Halloween Announcement

Okay, people of the mansion. I have an announcement. That announcement is... we're having a Halloween party this coming Saturday. It's at Stonewall, the horse farm near here. There will be vehicular transportation for those of you who don't feel like walking, of course. Entertainments include but are not necessarily limited to:

- Hayride of ultimate awesomeness
- Bar (you pay to drinks, dudes - organized by Adrienne Frost)
- Food (also arranged by the lovely McFrosty)
- Dunking for Apples
- Gourd ghosts (painting involved)
- Pumpkin carving
- Corn maze (as being prepared by the talented Miss Callie Betto)
- Face painting

Credit where credit's due - Callie's handling the pumpkin growing, too. The gourds are from a farm place and come pre-dried. I'm pretty sure if you guys ask nicely, the people at the farm will let you ride a horse. Or a pony. Or something.

Costumes required.

Go forth, mansionites. Discuss. Shop. Attend. It will be pretty sweet.

Warren Worthington, I require your presence at the masquerade hayride. Be there or be square. Square is not good, by the way.

I have not yet seen the movie. I am trusting Meggan's expertise on this costume.

For a lot of the time in the original one, he's just wearing the little barely there costume, yes--but there is a point where Conan is wearing some things that won't make you uncomfortable or chilly during the night. You would be wearing pants, that sleeveless, almost leather shirt, and a fake sword. Things around the forehead and wrists. And a fuzzy warrior cape, if we can find one of those, and if you want it.

I would not be uncomfortable in either. I am not easily subjected to cold weather injuries and it is common in India for one to have their torso and legs exposed. I believe this is an extension of Wade's previous attempts to monitor our interaction with each other to prevent the infliction of emotional harm. I attempted to explain my beliefs on the topic but I did not insist overly as I believe he has good intentions.

I do ask the costume not be composed of real leather or real fur. I generally do not wear approximations either but a temporary exception can be made for the sake of levity. And because I am very much a fan of Conan.

Okay, good! I wasn't sure if you wanted the tiny or the covering type of costume, but it's good to know there wouldn't be any getting cold for you.

Don't worry, it would only look like fur, and feel nice and soft like it, without actually being fur. There will be no hurting of small animals for fake fuzzy capes. The leather isn't real, either. I'm glad you like Conan.

Oh, Wade had the best intentions! He was just making sure everything was okay.
