Today is National Taco Appreciation Day.

Okay, so I might've added the 'appreciation' part, but seriously, you gotta appreciate the tacos. To celebrate (and appropriately appreciate), I'm making tacos in the main kitchen. There are vegetarian options, since I'm conscientious like that, but there will definitely be beef. And probably chicken. If you want fish, you can bring your own.

It is also National Vodka Day (http://intoxicology.net/2010/10/03/celebrating-national-vodka-day/), or so I am told. I am not sure how to celebrate both National Vodka Day and National Taco Day, because I am almost certain that vodka is not in margaritas.

You could just drink vodka? It goes okay with tacos.

Yes. Yes, it does.

I can come up with a couple suggestions for how we can celebrate both, particular lady friend o' mine.

So I have no idea how authentic this is (my guess is not at all) but Maya Magic has pineapple and vanilla vodka, and some cranberry juice and triple sec. And it's pretty tasty.

Yes, and I've been told they can be delicious, but I don't really want any fish in the house tonight if people expect me to cook it. I don't cook fish well. It's a sad personal failing of mine.

yep. I have this bad habit of biting into tacos and it all falling out the other end. Burritos are a much neater option.
